Just an hour from Boston, is Birchwood Vineyards — a gorgeous vineyard wedding venue with a rustic elegance. The interior mimics a large barn, while the exterior has a modern elegance to it, overlooking a vineyard where outdoor ceremonies happen.

The vineyard is a great location for weddings about 100-125 guests large, with space for cocktail hour, reception and outdoor space for the ceremony. The outdoor space at the end of the vineyards for the ceremony has a gorgeous fountain to get married in front of.

The two getting ready suites are absolutely perfect. Many venues overlook a getting ready location creating additional expenses (yay hotel rooms), that typically don’t match the vibe of the venue itself.

The dining room has incredibly high beautiful ceilings with a super-smart layout for large weddings. With windows high up the walls, it allows the dining room to get tons of natural light without creating issues with backlighting while guests are seated. The dining room can hold 150+ guests, which is fabulous and there are three different sized circular tables.

Using natural spaces for couples portraits.

In any season, the vineyards are a fabulous place for couples portraits. Weave in and out of the rows, or step back and snag more landscape-filled portraits. There’s also an area to the right of the vineyards that has a swing, and trees, and a garden adjacent to the building that’s also a beautiful location for couples portraits.

Like any venue, using the natural spaces for portraits can give any couple unique portraits. Pushing out of the norm, and out of the easy to create something unique doesn’t take a lot of effort — walking around and letting the couple exist as they are can give your couple unique portraits that feel like them.
