I got to meet the sweetest Melissa and Danny on the day of their micro-wedding in Boston MA at the Beacon XV Hotel. I knew pulling up that I was in for a treat just based on the vibe of the exterior of the hotel.
A Boston micro wedding means less distractions, more flexibility, and more of what you want. The two had just their 8 closest friends and family and as a result were able to splurge a little more on the venue and food, and have more time with their family.
The rooms are huge and perfectly decorated, with large windows. All the perfect fixings for easy getting ready photos. We spent some time doing something a little special for the bride and hamming her up so she felt her best walking down that aisle.
After getting ready, we went downstairs to the lobby for a first look. The couple chose the lobby for it’s charm, and elegance. There were certain pictures they wanted in the lobby before heading out into Boston.
After the couples first look, and a few formals around the hotel, we settled in for their wine cellar ceremony. Ceremonies in urban settings sometimes end up in weird after thought locations. To have this beautiful space for ceremony locations was perfect for this couple. The two were looking for a more urban/city wedding, and the wine cellar was a perfect indoor space to fit their vision.
Afterwards, the couple enjoyed plated appetizers, and salads, and entrees from the Chef with 8 of their closest friends and family. We went outside for more photos after dark in the neighborhood, grabbing a few with historic locations and buildings.
Although I’m sure this isn’t the 200 person wedding the couple originally thought they would have, Melissa and Danny wouldn’t have had it any other way. The intimate feel, the elegance, and pull to old city NY was exactly what they were after and were able to achieve.
