Booked for a last-minute styled shoot in Florida, I jumped in to video a couple and the other vendors. We had a blast getting to know each other and I loved getting to explore video more.
When doing video, unlike many others, I often (almost exclusively) lens whack. Let’s have a little chat about what lens whacking is!
Camera lens are mounted onto a camera body. When you lens whack (free lens) the camera lens and camera body are not mounted but held close together. The technique creates distortion in focus points and depth of field which creates super romantic creamy textures.
Stretching those creative bounds is always a blast for me.
