Joshua Tree elopements are so incredibly fun. Ok yeah, elopements are super sweet, but honestly, the best part is some alone time with your honey in super rad Joshua Tree AirBnbs somewhere incredible and amazing. Joshua Tree Airbnbs have loads of secret gems hiding up their sleeves — from Airbnbs with recording studios, and motorcycle shops, to hidden secret trailers out in Pioneertown off dirt roads that lead to Big Bear, your options are endless.
The whole point of an elopement is to have a rad time with your babe somewhere private, and intimate. The two best things to splurge on: the AirBnb + the photographer. (I’m a little biased). But even if you don’t splurge on the Joshua Tree Airbnb, you’ll end up with an incredible spot to stay, and a wonderful experience. Don’t forget to explore the regions around you. Pioneertown has tons of little dirt roads that allow you to experience nature in a way that we often don’t — untouched.
Joshua Tree Airbnbs are so incredible, most of them have jacuzzis (unlike the Northeast, wink wink, nod nod), and are perfectly photographable little cabins dotting the desert. Having the week means private moments, extending the day into the week, and being able to really nuzzle up and enjoy the wedding week. Make sure you take a trip off-roading in any of the roads you can. You’ll find some of the largest, and most beautiful Joshua Trees, along with incredible wildlife and views.
The best part about getting to visit Joshua Tree is checking out all of the rad houses folks have built out in the desert. Whether you check out Rock Reach House, or Dome House, Joshua Tree Cabin — there’s so many artistically built homes with desert views and cowboy tubs. In the high desert, just a few minutes drive from the park, there are tons of eclectic Airbnbs with wood-burning fireplaces, rad living rooms, outdoor showers, fire pits, and artistic front doors.
Although there aren’t many homes walking distance from the park, or at least I wouldn’t recommend walking TO the National Park, there are plenty of fun Airbnbs walking distance to tons of gorgeous locations.
Joshua Tree AirBnb’s: Joshua Tree House
The Joshua Tree House is a BEAUTIFUL Joshua Tree Airbnb located just 10 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The surrounding views and yard make a perfect location for a Joshua Tree elopement.
The interior is a photographers dream, lots of whites, tans, and big open windows, with minimal decor to distract (or have to be edited out). Doing a couples session inside, outside, there’s just so much room to have fun.
From the couple’s perspective, because that’s what really matters right, this spot is big enough, but small enough, affordable and has perfect views. Snuggle up on the porch after your wedding day, or hop in that hot tub after your day.
If you’re looking for something with a little more character and an outdoor tub, BOOYA, I found you a winner. Perfect views, all your macrame dreams coming true, and an outdoor bathtub. All the makings of a great Joshua Tree Airbnb.
This cabin is closer to town so it’s a little harder to elope in the yard or take in glorious views, BUT you’re closer to restaurants, (COFFEE!), and more. You’re still super close to the Park, but you’re a bit closer to humanity — aka. late night ice cream runs.
If you’re looking for something a little bougier, with room for the friends, Spirit Wind is definitely the one. With a hammock tree (?WOJE?), hot tub, and incredible views, yucca trees right at the house, it’s a perfect Joshua Tree AirBnb.
If you’re looking for a spot where you can have a ceremony, and a dinner outside — you’re looking at it.
Joshua Tree Airbnbs: West & Wild Yucca — Yucca Valley Home with Pool
I happened to stay here for a workshop and honestly, this place is freaking STUNNING. It’s the perfect spot to stay with just your vendors (ya know, a photographer/officiant), and order takeout or barbecue some steak on the grill. The yard has a beautiful Joshua Tree, and if you drive near the property you’ll find amazing cliffs to take portraits on.
The bathrooms are absolutely stunning, and the perfect location for a steamy session. The rooms are all unique and beautiful, with a character, and a feel. And the kitchen?! To die for! The hot tob is also a huge perk.
Joshua Tree Airbnbs with a Pool: Dream Catcher Ranch — Yucca Valley
If you’re looking to splurge a bit, and have an incredible honeymoon while you’re out on your elopement — this is the spot. Nestled into the hills, with a pool, and multiple bedrooms to spread out, it’s the perfect spot to hide from the busy of every day life, reconnect, and get married.
Imagine for a second, jumping into this pool in your wedding attire! The backyard also offers a beautiful option for epic wedding photos up on the cliffs. The interior is as perfect as the exterior, with plenty of space for your closest friends.
Boutique Desert Retreat — Yucca Valley
All I can think about is the gorgeous orange couch for an epic steamy session as you get ready for your elopement. Run through the backyard naked before finding the perfect spot to say “I do!”
The Boutique Desert Retreat is a nice open space to take getting ready photos, fun elopement pics, and of course an epic steamy session. After saying I do somewhere perfect on the property (did you see those pictures!?) snuggle up in front of the fire place with some takeout.
Ah, that wood stove is everything and more! This is a perfect budget-friendly spot, with epic views, and an incredible interior. Whether you’re going to take a walk for your elopement, or head into the park (just a short drive away) you’re at the perfect AirBnb to snuggle up in front of the fireplace after a long day in the desert.
If you’re thinking about something even more low-key, this guest suite is a perfect option close to the park. It’s impeccable, and the perfect spot to get ready for your Joshua Tree elopement.
There’s plenty of places closeby for food, or spots to elope, including heading into the park. A short drive to plenty of spots for elopement photos, this is the perfect spot for a budget-friendly elopement.
If you’re looking for something a little more down to earth, this yurt is the perfect spot to unwind, and get ready for your elopement. Off the beaten path, it’s a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, and town.
The space is an incredible hidden oasis among tons of AirBnbs. The deck off the yurt is such a great spot to just soak in the desert sun.
Hoping these three Joshua Tree AirBnbs give you a good idea of what to do for your adventure elopement in Joshua Tree this winter. If you’re looking for more planning tips check out this blog post.
