We LOVE Newport Rhode Island, so naturally, we had to write about our favorite Newport wedding venues. I used to work there in a past life and have always been an ocean person at heart. Newport has so much to offer and it’s amazing to utilize the different beaches and properties.
Although you could do your wedding at any of the RI country clubs going to Newport with iconic wedding venues offers a unique experience for your guests. You’ll be able to take photos on the historic Cliff Walk and get married where the America’s Cup has been held.

Belle Mer is a classic beachfront Newport wedding venue. Book this venue early as it is an iconic location that most Newport wedding photographers dream of shooting at. With expansive views of Newport Harbor, a large ballroom for receptions and cocktail hour, the Newport wedding venue is a great option for a larger wedding looking to stay local or for a destination Newport wedding.
Overlooking the Newport Bridge, the venue boasts a gorgeous indoor ballroom, with gardens outside overlooking the Bay. Close to Gurneys, most of your guests can stay within walking distance of the venue. There are plenty of other hotels and AirBnbs close to Belle Mer, both within walking and driving distance — as well as plenty of restaurants, and things to do.

Another Newport wedding venue classic is the Bohlin situated right in Newport Harbor at Newport Yachting Center. Walk over to IRYS for your bridal portraits and grab Ben & Jerry’s on your way back. Enjoy classic Thames Street with your guests for a bar crawl after your wedding or the night before with your bridal party.
The venue overlooks Newport Harbor, which is BUMPING in the summertime. Your ceremony views will leave guests stunned — as ceremonies predominantly happen on the harbor overlooking the sailboats moored off the Bohlin. Leave straight from the venue the next morning to Block Island on the ferry just steps to the venue.

A little different from other Newport wedding venues, the Top of the Pelham has a more urban, modern feel than most of the classic beach venues. An indoor barroom with market lights just walking distance to Bowen Wharf has that classic urban feel for your wedding while still enjoying all that Newport offers.
Give your guests a little suttin’ suttin’ different in Newport with this venue. Couples have said this venue was super easy to work with, brings an urban-modern glam to life, and LOVES that the venue allows you to bring in all your own vendors.
1 Goat Island, Newport, RI 02840
If you’re looking for iconic Newport RI wedding venues, with ocean views, and grand ballrooms for your dream wedding. With breathtaking views of the Newport Bridge and the harbor, your guests will be stunned over and over again by this ideal location. With ample square feet for wedding ceremonies, a wedding reception, and even your rehearsal dinner, choosing this venue can make wedding planning a cinch.
The resort offers a marina, indoor and outdoor pools, large suites, and hundreds of hotel rooms. With so much, it’s the perfect Newport wedding venue for a larger destination wedding looking for a weekend, or weeklong stay. The suites have expansive views of the harbor and Rhode Island beyond and are such great spaces for getting ready with your gaggle of favorite humans.

Known as the Commandant’s Residence, this historic property in Fort Adams offers such a step back in time. An estate wedding venue tucked into one of the southernmost points of Rhode Island, the Eisenhower House is perfect for someone wanting a big wedding with an epic feel. Have your ceremony overlooking the harbor, and reception under the tent while taking pictures anywhere on the Fort Adams property.
What’s great about the Eisenhower House is the breadth of directions you can take your wedding in. Go more casual, think summer picnics and family affairs, backyard wedding style, or go super bougie and drip every inch in beautiful greenery and elegant touches. Either way, the property looks stunning and feels comfortable.

Do y’all watch the Bachelor? Did you know a Bachelor wedding happened here at the Hotel Viking chapel?! Yessiree, it did! The two got married under the guidance and support of Troy Williams back in 2019. Jarod Haibon and his now-wife Ashley Iaconetti said I do at the Hotel Viking surrounded by friends and family.
Newport has long been for the rich and famous to get married, celebrate milestones, and riding out beautiful New England summers. If you’re looking for that Gatsby feel, with a dash of seersucker, Newport is the place to get married.
We’ve chatted about Newport wedding venues, let’s talk about Newport wedding vendors. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite wedding vendors in the Newport RI area. Whether you’re looking for a DJ, a planner or a hair and makeup artist we’ve got you covered.
We love working with 2SLGBTQ+ wedding vendors like Jenna. Located in East Greenwich, Jenna has worked with us on many destination weddings in Rhode Island and across New England. She’s fantastic at staying on task, and on the timeline, working with a team, and delivering flawless makeup and hair services.
Virginia is a 2SLGBTQ+ wedding vendor that provides full-service hair and makeup services in the CT/RI area (and New England). We love working with Virginia as she is just one of the most helpful and hardworking folks.
When it comes to DJ’s we love working with Dan Moran (we talk about him a lot). That said, not many people can pull off packing a dance floor with a remix of the WAP and Monster Mash (together). I feel like that alone speaks volumes to Dan’s capacities.
Based in Rhode Island, I think Luke is in Newport at least once a week. He loves making super clients have the wedding of their dreams, not just a killer dance floor all night — going above and beyond for his clients.
A wedding floral company in Rhode Island, Botanica is who you call when you want to drip every ounce of your wedding venue in greenery and florals. Even if you’re looking for something more understated, Botanica delivers some of the best flowers we’ve ever seen.
A local farmer florist, Harvest Moon offers a more sustainable route to wedding flowers. Growing and sourcing her flowers locally, Ayla offers a more natural vibe with lots of peonies, and poppies.
