We LOVE Newport Rhode Island, so naturally, we had to write about our favorite Newport wedding venues. I used to work there in a past life and have always been an ocean person at heart. Newport has so much to offer and it’s amazing to utilize the different beaches and properties.

Although you could do your wedding at any of the RI country clubs going to Newport with iconic wedding venues offers a unique experience for your guests. You’ll be able to take photos on the historic Cliff Walk and get married where the America’s Cup has been held.

Beachfront Newport Wedding Venues: Belle Mer

Belle Mer is a classic beachfront Newport wedding venue. Book this venue early as it is an iconic location that most Newport wedding photographers dream of shooting at. With expansive views of Newport Harbor, a large ballroom for receptions and cocktail hour, the Newport wedding venue is a great option for a larger wedding looking to stay local or for a destination Newport wedding.

Overlooking the Newport Bridge, the venue boasts a gorgeous indoor ballroom, with gardens outside overlooking the Bay. Close to Gurneys, most of your guests can stay within walking distance of the venue. There are plenty of other hotels and AirBnbs close to Belle Mer, both within walking and driving distance — as well as plenty of restaurants, and things to do.

An Estate Wedding Venue: the Bohlin

The venue overlooks Newport Harbor, which is BUMPING in the summertime. Your ceremony views will leave guests stunned — as ceremonies predominantly happen on the harbor overlooking the sailboats moored off the Bohlin. Leave straight from the venue the next morning to Block Island on the ferry just steps to the venue.

Hotel Viking: Get Married Where Celebrities Say “I do”

Do y’all watch the Bachelor? Did you know a Bachelor wedding happened here at the Hotel Viking chapel?! Yessiree, it did! The two got married under the guidance and support of Troy Williams back in 2019. Jarod Haibon and his now-wife Ashley Iaconetti said I do at the Hotel Viking surrounded by friends and family.
