I don’t think I’ve ever had an NYC wedding where I never stepped outside and I absolutely LOVED it. The interior of the Century Association is stunning and a photographer’s dream.

A Historic NYC Wedding
Lush fireplaces, wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookcases in some places, marble, grand staircases, spiral staircases, secret elevators, it’s one of the most stunning venues I have worked in.

An indoor, winter wedding ceremony
For Alex and Matt, doing what was important to them was essential — their wedding, their rules. A small gathering at a beautiful venue, the focus was on friends and family all through the night. Alex created every decoration, each piece of the centerpieces — which were books, some of which were written by family members.

NYC weddings always have a little something extra to them — we got a serious planner. Joy has worked many a red-carpet and top TV show, among other high-end events. She made sure everything went off without a hitch, no matter the problem, and that simultaneously none of that stress was transferred elsewhere.

Both Alex and Matt are writers — the thing about writers getting married is that everyone in the NYC wedding is incredibly articulate and well-spoken. I have never been more moved by speeches and conversations than this wedding.
Get to know another of our favorite venues by checking out the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, New York.
