A Dream Destination For A Dream Wedding

Imagine celebrating the most important day of your life with the best ocean views the Atlantic has to offer. At one of the most charming indoor and outdoor venues that Block Island can offer. Picture yourself in your wedding dress. Picture yourself in front of the perfect backdrop of green grass, a shining white building, and alongside the love of your life.

Would you believe me if I said this place wan’t just in your imagination? Would you believe me if I said this was actually one of our favorite venues in the New England Area? Well it is, and it’s actually the Spring House Hotel, the larget and oldest hotel built back in 1852. A treasure that continues to be where many still come to celebrate their special day.

The brides wedding dress and the grooms attire hang side by side in front of a window with their shoes underneath them.

Venues Galore

Spring House weddings are our favorites. With a variety of venues to choose from, you’ll have no problem making your dream day a reality. Exchange your vows on the front lawn like Kaitlyn and Ryan. This is one of the hotel’s most discerning features with white Adirondack chairs lined up on the crest of their hills. I can’t think of a better setting for an epic ceremony.

Enjoy your cocktail hour on the Seaside Veranda. A partially covered wrap-around porch with an unbeatable view of the ocean. Or at the East Overlook Patio, a tented space with equally amazing views. Both feature outdoor bars and make great spaces for your guests to mingle after the reception.

Then you can move on to the increadible Victoria’s Parlor which has a stunning oak bar and stage that is almost always reserved for receptions. And with an abundant amount of room to accommodate every one of your guests, you’ll have no problem dancing the night away.

Not everyone wants to have 100+ guests at their wedding though. Maybe you’re someone that prefers to have a much more intimate day with just your closest friends and family. If that’s the case then maybe the Grand Dining Room is right for you!

A classic space with breathtaking views of the ocean and a stone fireplace you can cuddle next to. Not to mention the gorgeous French doors that provide a much-needed fresh breeze on hot summer days. It’s ideal for any intimate event.

And if neither of these sound like your jam, then take your pick from any of the other venues available! There’s something here for everyone. Regardless of which venue you choose, the staff will assist you with your catering, set up, event planning, and more. The Spring House is truly committed to making sure you have an experience you’ll always remember.

Thoughts From A Block Island Wedding Photographer

Here’s a fun fact you probably wouldn’t guess about the hotel; their kitchen uses produce picked from their very own gardens! Most of their dishes are made to exclusively utilize what grows in their own backyard. I can’t think of anything better than enjoying a formal meal made with so much love to pair with a day of celebrating love.

As a Block Island wedding photographer, there’s nowhere I can recommend more to spend your wedding day. Whether you exchange your vows on the lawn or spend your cocktail hour on the wraparound Seaside Veranda, we’ll be there to capture every memory you make. We promise that the red mansard roof and distinctive cupola will never leave your mind.

Spring House weddings really are among New Englands’, and dare I say, the United States’ most magical. There’s no other destination quite like it. Don’t believe me? Take a trip to the island and see for yourself!
