The Trapp Family Lodge is located on 2,500 pristine acres overlooking the classic New England Village of Stowe, Vermont.  The picturesque lodge offers indoor and outdoor venues, and 96 comfortable rooms as well as multiple rental houses to accommodate your entire guest list.  After fleeing Austria, like in the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family settled in the green mountains of Vermont.

Walking trails nearby are beautiful, Stowe recreation path is a family favorite and is perfect for wedding photos! 

The croquet lawn is just below the main lodge and is an extremely intimate garden. Concert meadow is available late may and early october overlooking the beautiful Nebraska Valley, the perfect concert stage for your wedding ceremony! The mozart room gives rustic ceremony vibes, has an open-hearth fireplace and the incredibly high ceilings with beautiful posts and beams. 

Overlooking mountain views on all sides, the Lodge serves as a perfect event space for your wedding day.  With tons of European style accents, and charming architecture, the space requires very little decor.  Not far, you’ll find the Stowe Mountain Resort, Green Mountain Inn and plenty of other hotels for your guests if needed.

Interested in the most intimate wedding experience? The Trapp Family Lodge is known to be “A Little of Austria”. A lot of Vermont” with Austrian-inspired cabins with a European twist. The Salzburg room holds wedding receptions for up to 50 guests and can be used for cocktail hour.

The main dining room is available for indoor weddings or receptions throughout the year. This room has the most incredible views of the resort and is very big to accommodate a larger wedding. 

Up in the mountains, you’ll find the hidden chapel built by the Von Trapp family when they first arrived from Austria.  The chapel served as a space for small family events, and religious services tucked away from prying eyes.
