Ybor City Museum State Park: 1818 E 9th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605
Have you checked out Ybor City Museum State Park? Ybor City is a rich cultural neighborhood that’s a blend of Miami, Cuba, and New Orleans. Once known as the cigar capital of the world, Ybor City comprised of 10 cigar factories, with much of the population made of up cigar workers. The cultural heritage is still rich to this day, with lots of chickens running around Ybor, taco shacks, and odes to a time that has past.
Walking around Ybor City, you’ll notice an old world feel. Much of the downtown area has been preserved, and kept as small restaurants and shops. There are many family owned, by generations of families, businesses as well that are a rich step back in time.
Don’t forget to check out the brick park in the middle of Ybor City. The park is the full block — with roaming chickens that roost in the bushes and up in the trees. Throughout the day, Cuban music plays in the park — the perfect spot for an impromptu celebration in the street.

Maintained by the Ybor City Museum Society, it’s located centrally in Ybor City, with plenty of AirBnb’s and a large Hilton next door. Host your rehearsal dinner there or have it at any one of the authentic restaurants down the street.

This wedding venue in Tampa is a blank slate venue — one that I highly recommend having a planner for. A wedding planner can set up your whole wedding day while you get ready, and more. With the venue being open to the public, it’s important to have a team ready to decorate the wedding venue when you get into it.
We only use real wedding photos in our blogs — these were from Romina and Josh’s day!
